Data & AI Governance Consultant

What you will do

• Advise clients on data and AI governance best practices, policies, and organizational models

• Assess data management maturity and design target operating models

• Lead implementation of governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM)

• Define roles and responsibilities for data ownership, stewardship, and quality.

• Enhance metadata management using data catalogs, data products, and lineage tools

• Support compliance with regulations like GDPR and the EU AI Act through robust governance controls.

• Align data governance with business and IT strategy through close stakeholder collaboration

• Provide training and change support to build sustainable data culture

• Evaluate and implement responsible AI practices, including model documentation, risk and bias assessment.

What You bring

• A degree in IT, Data Science, Economics, or a related field

• Strong knowledge of data governance, quality, and lifecycle management

• Familiarity with leading tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Databricks Unity Catalog)

• Understanding of data privacy regulations and ethical AI frameworks

• Experience with model risk analysis, bias detection, and compliance mapping

• Ability to implement AI governance controls (e.g., Model Cards, Trail ML, auditability frameworks)

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Adaptability across industries and client needs

• Analytical mindset and solution-oriented thinking
