About the Role

Data and AI only create value when they are trusted, well-governed, and responsibly used. As a (Associate) Data & AI Governance Consultant, you will help organizations build the foundations that make modern analytics and AI scalable, compliant, and business-ready. This role is ideal for graduates or professionals with first experience who want to work at the intersection of data, AI, strategy, and regulation – with a strong learning curve and structured support. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support clients in designing and implementing Data & AI governance frameworks that enable trusted analytics and AI 

  • Assess data and analytics maturity and help define target operating models 

  • Help define roles and responsibilities for data ownership, stewardship, and quality 

  • Create business semantics for data (business glossaries, definitions, KPIs) as a foundation for analytics, AI, and decision-making 

  • Support metadata management using data catalogs, lineage, and data product concepts while implementing data quality monitoring, access management etc. 

  • Contribute to AI governance and responsible AI practices, including: 

  • AI guardrails using zero-trust principles 

  • Measures to reduce model hallucination, prompt injection, and misuse 

  • AI risk assessments, documentation, and auditability 

  • Participation in AI red teaming and risk testing activities 

  • Support compliance with GDPR, the EU AI Act, and internal governance standards 

  • Collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to align governance with data and AI strategy 

  • Support training, workshops, and change initiatives to build a sustainable data & AI culture 

Requirements

Requirements 

  • University degree (or close to completion) in IT, Data Science, Business Informatics, Economics, or a related field 

  • Fluent German and English (spoken and written) 

  • Strong analytical and structured thinking 

  • Interest in data, AI, and how organizations use them responsibly 

  • Motivation to learn and grow in a consulting environment 


Nice to have: 

  • First experience through internships, working student roles, or junior positions in data, analytics, AI, IT, or consulting 

  • Basic understanding of Data AI Governance 

  • Curiosity about AI safety, AI regulation, model risk, or responsible AI
